French Croissant
C1
What is a croissant?
A croissant is a buttery, flaky, viennoiserie pastry, it's made of a layered yeast-leavened dough.
At La Dem Bistro, we offer a very traditionnal croissant respecting the French culture, taste and flavors.
What is a real croissant and how to recognize "Fake one"?
1 - A croissant should be layered and puffy
2 - A croissant should be crisp and crunchy (a layer of crust on top that crunches ever so slightly when you bite into it)
3 - A croissant should be buttery and golden brown
4 - A croissant should be flaky and crumbly which means this cake should cause little crumbles and flakes to fall to your plate when you tear it open.
